Always be cautious when using a new contractor.

Protect yourself by making sure that your contractor is Licensed, Bonded and carries Workmans Comp. Insurance (if you don't and something happens the homeowner is liable)

Do not just take their word for it ask for proof of their credentials. Call the State of Tennessee Board of Contractors to verify. It is well worth the effort.
